Maxwell Escuela de Immersion en Espanol PTA Regular Board Meeting, February 1, 2005
Call to Order	The Maxwell Escuela de Immersion en Espanol PTA Board meeting was called to order at 6:38 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 by President Sherri Ball.  Deanna Rawlings as recording secretary.
Roll Call	Those in attendance were:  Sherri Ball, Deanna Rawlings, Stephanie Hamilton, Ann Armbruster,  Kay Saffari, Monica Fowler, Connie Guilfoil, Christin Helmuth, Lori Houlihan, Ellen Cornett, Cindy Crane, Kelly Fiebes.
Approval of Minutes	The minutes of the January minutes were printed and distributed.  Correction:  Treasurer’s Report should read “less custodial account”, new column, “Actual balance…………$29,732.oo.  The minutes were approved as corrected.
Correspondence	Sherri read one of many thank you notes from the Maxwell faculty and staff regarding their Christmas gifts.
Treasurer’s Report	Treasurer, Ann Armbruster, distributed the current financial report.      Cash in Bank  8/01/04      $23,922.00      YTD Income less Exp       21,488.00      Custodial Accounts                639.00       Less Last Year’s Exp        14,345.00       Actual Cash in Bank         31,704.00 The Treasurer’s Report was filed for audit.
Committee Reports	There was a discussion that the Bylaws Committee would be amending the PTA Bylaws in the next 30 days in order to post them publicly 30 days prior to the April 1 deadline.  It was suggested that the PTA membership fee be increased to $6.oo per year. Also that, in lieu of Maxwell Elementary School’s donation to Tsunami Relief of $175.00 (which came from the $175.00 award money for PTA’s Adios Hunger event) without PTA’s knowledge, it may be necessary to make changes or additions to the bylaws to avoid such situations in the future.
