Approval of Minutes The minutes of the May and September, 2004 board
meeting were printed and distributed. Both minutes were approved.
Treasurer’s Report Fundraising seems to be on target with
Innisbrook Gift Sales and Invest in Your Child. We should reach the
$15,000 goal budgeted. Taste of Maxwell is budgeted to make $8000 and
will take place later this month. These two will be our main income for
the year. Expenses seem to be within budget. Many
teachers are spending their classroom money and we have funded the author
visit this past month. We have paid some PTA state dues with more to be
paid by the 15th this month. The directory has brought in $400
in advertisements but the printing cost is unknown at this time.
Committee Reports:
Deanna Rawlings, recording secretary, asked for members to form a
by-laws committee. Allison Soult and Stephanie Hamilton volunteered.
Maxwell bylaws are to be resubmitted spring, 2005.
Sherri Ball, president, requested that a date be set
for Family Night. Discussion ensued, a vote was tabled until another
time.
Jody Casella, reported that Noxie Alquicira would
like to have a ‘Spanish’ movie night, with “Finding Nemo”on 10/29 from
6-8. Jody’s committee moved that money be cycled through the PTA but not
paid for by the PTA, and that $1.00 be charged to children for popcorn and
juice. Cliff Tibbitts, second: carried.
