President’s Report Sherri Ball
welcomed everyone to the first PTA meeting of the year. She
encouraged everyone to get involved and volunteer for the fun of it!
She asked that everyone be aware that the Children’s Clothing Center needs
clothes for K-5th grade, new or used
Principal’s Report Mr. Brewer, our new PSA, presented the

running smoothly. The new parent job board posted in the foyer is a good
way to get quick volunteer time.

help parent/teacher relationship.
Finally, in order for teachers to receive their
$200/year for reimbursements ($100/yearfor orchestra and part-time
teachers), they must be members of the PTA.
Old Business None
New Business Reba Roberts must get forms for directory by
mid-Sept. Discussion: how many per family? Dana Sartin moved to give
each family one copy, $2.00 per additional. Connie Guilfoil seconded.
Motion carried.
Teachers each get a copy. Marianne Kuhn and Tammy
Margolies reminded everyone that the Taste of Maxwell (TOM) will be on
Oct. 23 from 3-7 and had samples of the food for all. A co-chair for the
carnival is vacant and Chrissy said she would do it. Volunteers
are needed to help the art teacher with the k-3 projects.
Monica Fowler said that the 4th and 5th graders
would do a separate project. They will make silk scarves to sell in
retail stores for $20. We should profit $1200. A motion was carried to
allocate $550.
Cindy Crane has received $500 for Invest in Your
Child and $500 for Innisbrook. Referring to the budget, someone asked
what the $30,000 under gift sale income was. Cindy explained that there
was $15,000 under expenses to leave $15,000 net gain which was an estimate
because of the sales 3 years prior.
